Stylized Lightning Effect
A shader effect made for the tech art challenge from Harry Alisavakis' Discord server. The prompt was lightning.
Each lightning bolt is a randomly generated group of lines that branch out, and when one touches a point low enough the lightning crashes. A global variable then changes several shaders to achieve the flash effect.
The inspiration for this effect was the lightning effect in Into the Spiderverse, in the scene right before the leap of faith.
