The moodswap system switches between materials and post-effects of two different train coupe styles, two different moods. The change had to be smooth for the trailer, so I couldn't simply swap out all the materials. This version of the material swap used custom shaders with a coroutine that lerped from one to the other, with the possibility of changin the curve of the lerp in-editor.
The change from day to night involved some other changes as well in the demo of the game, and this version of the moodswap was cut to accomodate moving and (de)activating different characters. This one did, however, lay the groundworks for easy implementation of the new version, which simply faded to a dark colour and back in on the new materials.
