Symmetry by Josien Vos

Symmetry

Date: September - December 2018
Software: Unity, Photoshop

The game "vouwlijnen" (folding lines) is all about symmetry. In this game, children (of around 6 years old) learn how to see and find the symmetry axis of a symmetrical image, visualised by how the object folds over a line.
All four players work together to place the dotted line where they think the symmetry axis (or folding line) of an image is. The image will then fold over their line, and if it was placed correctly (with a fair margin), they will move on to the next image. Whenever the line was not placed correctly, they get to try again, and the bounds within which they can move their line will become smaller to guide them to the symmetry axis.
